Update Summary:

Mass production started on schedule (March 3rd) and we received a few updates from Manufacturing below.

Mass Production and Quality Control:
We are currently 1 week into the mass production schedule. The above picture shows new photos taken this week and the quality control with inspections taking place on items. Still too early to tell if Mass production will finish early (Tentative schedule was March 3rd - April 21st), but things are definitely underway.  Logistics planning and setup is also in progress. Are On-Demand campaign will be paused for the time being as we focus on logistics planning for all current orders.   

Shipping Addresses:

Reminder - Shipping addresses will be locked on Friday March 17th. At anytime you should be able to use your survey link (previous email) to change your shipping address until this date. After this date only we can change the address, you will need to email us to change your shipping address and we will email you and respond with a confirmation of change.

Next Update:
The next update will be in the first week of April. It will include mass production update and also include logistics planning. Once again thank you for your time and patience, we are almost there.

Update Summary:

In this update we have the tentative timeline for mass production completion details below.

Mass Production Schedule:
Our tentative mass production schedule has been released to us. Production line is slated to start on or before March 3rd. And Final competition and assembly to be as late as April 21st. It is possible that Mass production will be completed in March, but with this being the first production run our Sourcing/Manufacturing partners wanted to give us a timeline that included extra time to make any necessary changes in respects to quality control if necessary. We need 2-3 weeks after final production and assembly has completed for the items to arrive here before we ship out.

Shipping Addresses:

Shipping addresses will be locked on March 15th. At anytime you should be able to use your survey link to change your shipping address until this date. After this date only we can change the address, you will need to email us to change your shipping address and we will email you a confirmation of change.

Update Summary:

This is just a quick update as we expect to have the logistics information in real soon.

Chinese New Year has ended and factories are back operational:
With items green lighted for mass production, we are awaiting our production timeline and logistics information from our sourcing partner. Our first batch is scheduled to have slightly over 3000 units which will cover all crowdfunded orders.

Update Summary:

In this update we have results from the Trial Mold Phase completion as we move toward our next step which is Mass production. Images were pulled from our QC PDF Report in order to publish this update by the schedule we provided, but we should receive higher resolution images soon. 

Trial Mold Phase Results:
Samples from the molds have been produced and tested therefore completing the Mold Trial Phase.  All has gone according to the current plan. There will be some minor tolerance adjustments made to help reduce gap between lid and base as much as possible. (Not real noticeable on darker colors). Production colors in Pantone values listed below all in a matte finish, they may appear slightly lighter in color due to the soft touch coating on exterior. 

• White: Pantone White 000 C
• Black: Pantone Black 6C
• Red: Pantone Raider Red 485C
• Blue: Pantone Blue 2728 C
• Gray: Pantone Cool Gray 7 C

Mass Production to start after The Chinese New Year
Our Sourcing partner will start Chinese New Year this weekend and return Feb 5th. Other factories/partners may not return until mid February. As soon as the factories we are working with return from the Chinese New Year, we will be arranging/finalizing Mass production.

• Mold Trial Phase (completed) 
• Mass Production (Starting after Chinese NY)

In this update we received images of the injection molds and have an update on next steps.

SideKit Injection Molds:

The Injection Molds have been completed as some our referenced above. Not all molds are shown for proprietary reasons, but you can see from the current pictures that multiple molds are being used to create the lid and base of the SideKit. Final detailing and polishing is expected to be finished by the end of this week and then we are moving to the final phase (Mold Trial Phase) before Mass production starts. In this next phase, samples are produced from the Injection Molds to ensure everything is good to go for mass production. Our goal is to finish the Mold Trial Phase before the start of the Chinese New Year in Mid January, and have everything ready to start Mass production when Factories return to work after the Chinese New Year. 

Tooling Process & Updates:

• Next Week starts the final Step before Mass production.
